Welchenhausen
Probably the smallest art museum in the world is located near the border triangle of Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg. Since its opening in August 2002, the museum in the former school bus waiting hall has shown the works of artists from the surrounding countries in changing exhibitions. The solo exhibitions change four or five times a year: painting, drawings, graphics, art photography, plastics etc.
The museum originated from a village initiative by the residents of Welchenhausen (35 inhabitants; part of the municipality of Lützkampen). The museum is always open, which means: around the clock and admission is free.
The museum association Warte - Halle The sponsors of the museum are the village community Welchenhausen - Lützkampen and the association "Museumsverein Warte - Halle / KultOUR - Tal / Isleker ART e.V." The museum activities in the 35 - soul village of Welchenhausen have so far received great recognition and wide resonance in the three - country region as well as among the numerous guests who visit the touristically attractive Our Valley. In the meantime, the museum association has also entrusted the "House of Landscape and History" in the mill town of Stupbach, just under 2 km away. Since autumn 2004, exhibitions, documentation and materials on nature, history and hiking destinations have been presented there in the village's former fire department tool shed.

The exhibition shows portraits and biographies of the 9 participating artists of the International Sculpture Symposium Welchenhausen 2019, from Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as sketches and drafts of their sculptures. In addition, parts of the photo exhibition by Dr. Christof Thees can be seen: "Welchenhausen 3 - The decline of Eifel farmhouses" The syringe house is open around the clock. Admission is free.
