Naturpark Südeifel Hiking Trail No. 04 - Reipeldingen-Irrhausen
Irrel
The hiking trail goes around the town of Daleiden, which has around 1,000 inhabitants. Down the valley, the path meets the Mühlbach, which it follows to its source at Reipeldingen. Then it goes leisurely downhill into the valley of the Irsen. Shortly before Irrhausen, the path leads back through forest sections back to Daleiden.
Highlights along the way:
- Largest cemetery of honor in Rhineland-Palatinate: "Auf dem Scheid" on the southern edge of Daleiden.
- View of the Irsental to the southeast, the "valley of 1,000 butterflies"
