Hiking week South Eifel from 28.09. - 03.10.2024

This year, the South Eifel Hiking Week will take place from 28 September to 3 October. The tourist information centres are offering five guided hikes and a hiking marathon to explore the region extensively.

On 30 September 2024, the forests south of Daleiden will be explored in the Islek on the Südeifel Nature Park hiking trail no. 3. The start and finish point is the Waldhotel Machtemesmühle. From the hotel, the route leads along the Heimbach stream to Daleiden and then back on the Matthiasweg trail and along the Mühlbach stream. People with limited mobility can also take part in this hike and hire a Swiss Trac.
