Ausstellung Markus Boltz
Sep 19, 2024 - Sep 24, 2024
Lützkampen-Welchenhausen
Parallel to his work at the Bundesbank, Markus Boltz painted people, trained himself and developed his own style of painting. It is not the "normal" people who feature in his folus, but the conspicuous ones.
As a critical artist, he points out problems and wants to contribute to a dialogue about them with his art. Markus Boltz reduces his depiction to the expression of feelings. We recognise them intuitively; face, eyes and mouth are decisive for this. The artist abstracts, which means that everything personal, individual and unique about a person is omitted. What remains is a person and their emotions. Warm and cold colours are aggressively juxtaposed, especially red and blue. Eyes, mouths, what do they tell us?
The wArtehalle is open around the clock.
